About the Role

• Comply with Head Contract procurement obligations, including Shared Purchasing Framework requirements • Assist management in shaping overall strategic procurement direction • Support Development and Delivery Teams to create and execute procurement plans aligned with Stage 1 TOC proposals and Stage 2 milestones • Issue invitations to tender, evaluate responses and manage subcontract award processes with legal and delivery teams • Oversee end-to-end supplier pre‑qualification and support negotiation of agreements • Help manage Head Contract Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events during Stage 1 • Provide commercial team support for subcontract management and related disputes • Train project team members on procurement duties, variation control and approvals • Drive continuous improvement of procurement practices through innovative ideas • Ensure probity, confidentiality, competition and conflict‑of‑interest compliance in all procurement activities • Build strong relationships with Sydney Water peers and Confluence Water development and project teams

What You Bring

The role combines procurement experience in a commercial organisation with general construction knowledge, strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills, and a problem‑solving mindset. Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Business or a related field are expected. • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and stakeholder‑management abilities with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure independently or collaboratively, with confidence and flexibility • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail • Tertiary qualification in Construction, Business or a related field • High‑performing mindset focused on quality execution • Proven procurement experience in a commercial organisation for linear assets, electrical equipment or mechanical equipment • General understanding of construction works
