About the Role

The position reports to Bosch Building Technologies and combines hands‑on fire protection service with supervisory responsibilities. The incumbent will oversee inspections, troubleshooting, scheduling, and emergency response while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and clear communication with owners and facility managers. Leadership of Sprinkler Technicians and coordination with sales during the estimating phase are also key aspects of the role. • Level 2: Consistently meet all objectives; mentor Level 1 staff; mid‑level NICET certification; handle multiple special‑system deliverables. • Conduct fire‑protection service and inspections per NFPA 10, 12, 17, 17A, 2001. • Perform basic troubleshooting and clearly communicate findings to owners and service managers. • Translate system deficiencies into business risks and solutions for owners and facility managers. • Direct and supervise Sprinkler Technicians and Specialists, ensuring compliance with technical and communication standards. • Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. • Manage master schedule for repairs, preventive maintenance, and projects to maximize technician “wrench time” and meet SLAs. • Complete timesheets, work orders, and required paperwork accurately and promptly. • Provide service support for existing installations to maintain code compliance. • Assist sales team during estimating, including product/system demonstrations. • Perform elevated inspections using man lifts up to 30‑40 ft when needed. • Serve as senior point of contact for emergency system failures, coordinating rapid resource deployment. • Lift and carry ladders, drawings, computers, materials; up to 75 lb. • Stand and walk for extended periods on construction sites. • Climb stairs or ladders regularly. • Kneel, stoop, and crawl as required.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high‑school diploma and a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in fire suppression, sprinkler or life‑safety work, including extensive application of NFPA codes and interpretation of MEP drawings. A supervisory track record of five years, along with experience supporting sales or estimating activities, is required. Preference is given to individuals with ten‑plus years in the industry, NICET Level III/IV certification, and advanced knowledge of building automation integration and mission‑critical infrastructure. The job requires regular physical activity such as lifting up to 75 lb, climbing ladders or stairs, and standing or walking on construction sites for extended periods. A clean driving record is necessary for operating company vehicles, and the ability to kneel, stoop, and crawl is also expected. • Level 1: Achieve many objectives with supervision; basic system knowledge; low‑level NICET certification. • Senior/Supervisor: Advanced technical expertise; high‑level NICET certification; provide mentorship and supervision as needed. • Apply knowledge of fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, and emergency/exit lights. • High school diploma or GED required. • 8+ years fire suppression/sprinkler/life‑safety experience with progressive responsibility. • 8+ years applying NFPA codes (10, 12, 13, 17, 17A, 2001) in the field. • 8+ years reading MEP blueprints and identifying cross‑system issues. • 5+ years supervisory or lead specialist experience, including scheduling and project oversight. • 5+ years assisting sales/estimating with site surveys. • 10+ years fire suppression/sprinkler experience with progressive career path (preferred). • 8+ years designing or supervising suppression systems for mission‑critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, telecom). • 8+ years managing P&L, labor‑hour tracking, material costs, and change orders. • Current NICET Level III or IV certification. • Advanced knowledge of building automation systems and integration with HVAC and security. • Proven mentorship record coaching technicians to higher certifications and improved efficiency. • Maintain satisfactory driving record for company vehicle use.
