About the Role
The Field Research team captures essential data on tenants, available space, and building characteristics for CoStar’s products. This newly formed group focuses on high‑priority commercial properties to ensure the market picture presented to clients is accurate and comprehensive. As a Field Research Manager, you will lead a dispersed team that records current tenants and listings while overseeing production quality and providing coaching. • Build, train, mentor, and coach a team of eight Field Researchers. • Review daily production against KPI metrics and assess data quality. • Provide actionable feedback and create action plans to improve performance and engagement. • Communicate professionally with employees and internal partners to meet objectives. • Collaborate with Tenant and Market Research teams and align schedules across time zones. • Spend time in the field demonstrating best practices for data collection and efficiency. • Travel one week per month to local markets for on‑site oversight.

What You Bring
The role is based in Richmond, VA, supporting customers across the United States, especially on the West Coast. It requires a PST‑aligned schedule (11 AM‑8 PM ET) and approximately 25 % travel each month, including one week of on‑site field work in local markets. • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit institution. • Have 3‑5 years of direct operations management experience supervising five or more employees. • Demonstrate leadership, KPI management, and the ability to prioritize team workload. • Exhibit strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills. • Proficient in Excel (data manipulation, filtering, formulas) and MS Office applications; comfortable with Apple OS and internet tools.
