About the Role

The role leads and manages the transformer testing function, ensuring timely execution of routine, type and special tests in line with national and international standards, customer specifications and internal quality systems. It oversees resource allocation, equipment upkeep, documentation control, customer coordination and drives continuous improvement of testing processes. • Conduct and supervise routine, type, and special transformer tests following standards and the testing procedure manual. • Ensure compliance with approved QAP and customer requirements during FAT and internal tests; prepare FAT schedules and coordinate pre‑FAT activities. • Perform control and operation checks of RTCC and MB units. • Maintain, calibrate, and schedule periodic calibration of all testing equipment and instruments, keeping accurate records. • Plan and allocate manpower based on workload; train and mentor team members on testing processes, standards, and safety. • Execute quality control checks, manage nonconforming work, and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) laboratory documentation and ensure accreditation compliance. • Prepare, review, and approve accurate test reports; analyze results and issue statements of conformity. • Organize and retain documentation for tests, calibrations, nonconformities, and system records. • Provide technical support to customers during FAT and resolve testing queries; assist site teams and other departments on testing matters.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least seven years of experience in transformer testing, quality assurance, or comparable areas. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of transformer standards (IS/IEC), testing procedures and preferably experience with NABL/ISO 17025 documentation and audits. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. • Minimum 7 years of experience in transformer testing, quality, or related fields. • Strong knowledge of transformer standards (IS/IEC) and testing procedures. • Experience with NABL/ISO 17025 documentation and audits (preferred).
