About the Role

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the homeowners association’s common areas. This role ensures that shared spaces remain clean, safe, and well‑maintained for residents and guests, while also providing support to maintenance staff with light duties and daily operations. Typical duties include cleaning lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, clubhouses and other communal spaces; emptying trash and recycling; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing; and maintaining windows, doors, fixtures, sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards and outdoor amenities. The Porter also handles light landscaping, seasonal tasks such as snow removal or leaf cleanup, assists with minor repairs, sets up furniture for events, monitors for maintenance issues, replaces bulbs and filters, and provides courteous assistance to residents. • Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to disposal areas. • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize shared spaces regularly. • Clean windows, doors, and fixtures as assigned. • Maintain sidewalks, parking areas, courtyards, and outdoor amenities. • Pick up litter and debris throughout the property. • Perform light landscaping tasks such as watering plants or removing debris. • Assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal or leaf cleanup. • Support maintenance staff with basic tasks and minor repairs. • Set up and break down furniture for meetings, events, or inspections. • Monitor common areas for maintenance issues and report concerns promptly. • Replace light bulbs, air filters, or signage as directed. • Provide courteous, professional assistance to residents and guests. • Respond to resident requests or concerns related to common areas.

What You Bring

The position is full‑time, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a pay rate of $16 per hour. Applicants must reside within a 30‑minute commute of the Tamarac area and must follow HOA policies, safety procedures, and cleaning standards. • Clean lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, clubhouses, and other common areas.
