About the Role

As an Assistant Property Manager you will support the Property Manager in ensuring smooth property operations, handling leasing, collections, resident services, and maintenance oversight. You will assist with lease administration, resident relations, reporting, vendor coordination, and compliance with Fair Housing laws, stepping in to manage the property when needed. • Lease apartments, handle move‑ins, resident insurance, and lease renewals. • Address delinquent accounts, initiate evictions, and attend court hearings as needed. • Follow up on delinquencies and ensure timely payment collections. • Schedule appointments for prospects and residents. • Maintain accurate resident records, including account setups, charges, and credits. • Process security deposit refunds and promote positive resident relations. • Record resident correspondence and validate rental eligibility. • Promote resident retention programs and address concerns promptly. • Provide support in the Property Manager’s absence and assist with managerial duties. • Create monthly reports on renewals, rents, leasing, resident retention, and maintenance. • Train and coach office staff as directed. • Attend staff meetings and take minutes. • Collect and process payments and purchase orders. • Coordinate completion of requested work on the property. • Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring proper invoicing and statement handling. • Oversee lease and renewal processes for accuracy and policy compliance. • Maintain renewal records and assist with leasing marketing and follow‑up. • Adhere to federal and state Fair Housing Laws and company policies.

What You Bring

We expect candidates to have two to three years of relevant experience in property management or a sales/customer‑service role, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and strong interpersonal, analytical, and detail‑oriented skills. Excellent communication, problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records are essential. • 2‑3 years of related experience or training in property management or sales/customer service. • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance if travel is required. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for resident and staff interaction. • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities to resolve issues efficiently. • Detail‑oriented with accurate record‑keeping and multitasking capabilities.
