About the Role
The primary purpose is to lead end‑to‑end project management commissions, ensuring client objectives are met on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, while also supporting major commissions by delivering specific aspects of service. The role contributes to clients’ transition to Net Zero and broader sustainability initiatives. • Lead end‑to‑end project management commissions, delivering to time, cost, and quality targets. • Support major commissions by taking responsibility for specific service delivery aspects. • Ensure client objectives are met while supporting their transition to Net Zero and sustainability goals. • Manage projects typically ranging from £1 million to £10 million, with larger scopes in supporting roles. • Communicate effectively across stakeholders through presentations, reports and written documentation. • Solve strategic problems and coordinate multiple stakeholders within the NEC contract framework. • Maintain compliance with CDM and site health and safety requirements linked to NEC contracts. • Obtain and retain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC) as a sole UK national. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
We are seeking Project Managers for our expanding Bristol Defence Infrastructure business to support construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South/South West and nationally. Due to the sensitive nature of these projects, applicants must be a sole UK national able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC). The role is ideal for candidates from Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways backgrounds with proven experience in complex works; NEC accreditation is preferred. Project Managers at Turner & Townsend handle commissions ranging from £1 million to £10 million, with larger scopes when acting in a supporting capacity. Candidates need at least five years of experience focused on NEC contracts and expertise in NEC, JCT and FIDIC contract administration. Exceptional verbal, presentation and written communication skills, self‑motivation, strategic problem‑solving abilities, and experience managing multiple stakeholders within NEC frameworks are essential. Knowledge of CDM and site health and safety requirements as they relate to NEC contracts is also required. A degree in an infrastructure or construction‑related subject is mandatory; chartered or professional membership with ICE, APM, RICS or similar bodies is preferred. Eligibility for UK MoD Security Clearance is a critical requirement, and the role may involve SOX control responsibilities where applicable. • Apply NEC, JCT and FIDIC contract administration expertise, with at least five years of NEC experience. • Hold a degree in infrastructure or construction; chartered membership (ICE, APM, RICS) preferred. • Operate in a hybrid model, spending ~60% of time on client sites or offices with flexible travel.
