About the Role
The Resident Engineer will develop and review comprehensive wet‑services engineering designs, ensure strict compliance with UAE building codes, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate systems into overall project designs. Regular site inspections will be conducted to monitor installation progress, maintain quality standards, and promptly troubleshoot technical issues. Responsibilities also include preparing detailed technical reports, managing project timelines, budgets and resources, providing mentorship to junior staff, and staying current with the latest technologies and sustainable design practices while adhering to health and safety regulations. • Develop and review wet‑services designs (plumbing, drainage, fire protection) ensuring compliance with UAE codes. • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering disciplines to integrate wet‑services into project designs. • Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and resolve technical issues promptly. • Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings. • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet organizational goals. • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance. • Implement innovative and sustainable design solutions for wet‑services projects. • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on all project sites.

What You Bring
We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer – Wet Services to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role you will oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of wet services systems across various construction projects in the region. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering field and have at least five years of experience in wet‑services engineering, focusing on plumbing, drainage, and fire‑protection systems. A Professional Engineering license is preferred, along with proven construction site supervision, project‑management experience, and in‑depth knowledge of UAE codes and BIM tools such as AutoCAD. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment, travel to various sites, and apply sustainable design practices. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering field. • Minimum five years of wet‑services engineering experience; PE license preferred. • Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with BIM software. • In‑depth knowledge of UAE building codes and construction practices. • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. • Willingness to travel to various project sites within Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas. • Health and safety certification (e.g., OSHA or equivalent).
