About the Role
The Maintenance Technician A works under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager. The role involves repairing and maintaining diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Employees enjoy working on a single fleet with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, receiving training on new technologies, and having a regular shift in a stable industry.

What You Bring
The technician must maintain advanced knowledge and skill proficiency to perform complex repairs both on‑site and on the road. Core responsibilities include chassis component repair, refuse body control, hydraulic and electrical systems, air and hydraulic brakes, engine work, suspension, drivetrain, steering, heating and air conditioning, and line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. They also identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and complete required company training. Candidates need at least three years of experience servicing heavy‑duty trucks and must be capable of inspecting and repairing systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions with minimal supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8), LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are desirable but not mandatory.
