About the Role

The Recycling Specialist is directly responsible for achieving the recycling and waste‑reduction goals set for multifamily properties in county agreements and additional innovation projects. The role requires a deep understanding of WM service offerings and the ability to leverage WM relationships and resources to meet contractual sustainability targets. Key duties include developing and implementing programs that surpass contractual metrics, conducting outreach and education for property managers and residents, and designing tailored presentations that drive awareness of WM initiatives. The specialist also performs site surveys and waste audits, formulates data‑driven recommendations aligned with district capabilities, and ensures flawless execution of WM services. Collaboration is essential; the specialist works with the Public Sector team to shape county‑wide strategies, cultivates community partnerships through public events, and prepares internal and external reports on program performance. • Develop and implement recycling programs that exceed county agreement metrics. • Conduct outreach and education for multifamily property managers and residents to improve recycling practices. • Perform site surveys and waste audits to provide data‑driven recommendations aligned with operational capacity. • Design and deliver customized presentations and educational programs to drive sustainability awareness. • Leverage WM services and relationships to ensure flawless service delivery. • Collaborate with Public Sector teams to shape overall county‑wide sustainability strategy. • Build and maintain community partnerships by participating in public events and meetings. • Prepare and file internal and external reports on recycling program performance. • Work in a mixed office/field environment using standard office equipment.
