About the Role

An Industrial Pipe Fitter assembles, layouts, installs and maintains pipe systems. The fitter must ensure all work meets specifications and safety standards. The position has no direct reports but works closely with helpers and laborers, occasionally overseeing their tasks. It holds positional and expertise authority over these roles. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required • Identify all tools required for tasks • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks • Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications • Install valves, hangers, supports, flanges inside piping system according to plans and applicable specifications • Perform tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and piping systems • Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment • Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, controls and tools • May work at heights up to 300 ft using proper fall protection

What You Bring
