About the Role

The role of Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Security Controls Assessor Representative (SCAR) is based at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where the incumbent will conduct AFLCMC/EZAS analyses, produce technical documentation, and support cybersecurity alignment and standardization for Air Force aeronautical weapon systems. • Provide technical recommendations on security design implementation to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and non‑repudiation. • Analyze weapons‑system supply‑chain risk management plans and implement corrective actions. • Develop A&A package artifacts and assist program managers with decision briefings for the Security Control Assessor and Authorizing Official. • Conduct hardware and software assurance assessments and participate in continuous monitoring, including document reviews and onsite inspections. • Participate in requirements prioritization, reviews, inspections, and peer reviews to verify correct interpretation of specifications.

What You Bring

Joining KBR means working on innovative projects at the forefront of engineering, logistics, mission IT, and cybersecurity, within a collaborative environment that values teamwork and intellectual stimulation, and making an impact on defense systems and space defense. • 10+ years of information assurance/cybersecurity experience with a BS in IT, Computer Science, or related field (8 years experience may substitute for degree). • DoD 8140 IAM Level II certification (e.g., CAP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP/Associate, GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP). • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI/SAP. • Familiarity with DoD Instruction 8500.01/8510.01, NIST SP 800‑53, and RMF processes. • Prior ISSM experience with policy, STIGs, and ACAS is desired. • Background in network security/operations and weapon‑system or avionics software is preferred. • Knowledge of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) is a plus.
