About the Role
The scientist will apply basic scientific principles, theories and existing technologies to develop solutions for limited‑scope technical problems. Responsibilities include collecting and entering data, interpreting results against local, state and federal regulations, and ensuring compliance. Findings are analyzed, compared to relevant studies, and documented in technical reports. • Perform environmental contamination assessments and remediation planning. • Collect, enter, and analyze data to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Prepare technical reports and review environmental plans. • Apply basic scientific principles to solve limited‑scope technical problems.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology, Engineering Geology or a related field, with no required experience. A valid U.S. driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to pass motor‑vehicle, drug and medical screenings are required. The position requires a hybrid work schedule with at least two days per week onsite. Preferred credentials include proficiency with standard office software, OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification, and GIS or other data‑interpretation tools such as R, Grapher or Surfer. Strong written communication, knowledge of CADD/GIS, willingness to travel for field work, and familiarity with Southeast environmental regulations are also valued. • Hold a BA/BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field. • Maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and pass drug, medical, and motor‑vehicle record screenings. • Preferred: OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification and GIS/data‑interpretation skills (e.g., R, Surfer). • Demonstrate strong written communication and ability to convey complex ideas concisely. • Willingness to travel, conduct field work, and work extended hours when necessary.
