About the Role
The Training Specialist supports the design, development, and execution of specialized training programs for MasTec employees across various departments, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. • Develop new learning activities and course content to engage employees. • Utilize various media and learning methods to create and revise training programs. • Deliver training to MasTec employees. • Generate and publish training completion reports for compliance and management awareness. • Evaluate training programs and provide improvement recommendations. • Assist in updating course rosters and entering training completion data in the LMS. • Lead by example and promote a safety‑first mindset.

What You Bring
The role operates in both office and outdoor environments, requiring occasional lifting, bending, and the ability to carry up to 50 pounds, as well as physical tasks such as pole climbing and rigging. • 3–5 years of hands‑on field experience in overhead and/or underground electrical distribution. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less. • Knowledge of utility industry safety standards and experience in storm restoration, new construction, and energized work. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship preferred. • Valid driver’s license with a clean record. • OSHA 500 or OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer certification (preferred). • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred). • Familiarity with underground and overhead distribution and transmission systems (preferred). • Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring (preferred). • Understanding of adult learning principles and adaptable teaching styles (preferred). • Commercial driver’s license (CDL) (preferred). • Strong verbal and written communication. • Comfortable presenting to small and large groups. • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities. • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and LMS (or willingness to learn). • High integrity, accountability, and dependability. • Flexibility to travel regionally as needed. • Ability to perform physical tasks including pole climbing, lifting, and rigging.
