About the Role

The Senior Director, Massachusetts Transportation Operations Leader will report to the Vice President Northeast Regional Manager and lead a talented team delivering road, highway, and bridge projects across the state. This role serves as the public face of Parsons with local clients, proactively engaging MassDOT and other agency stakeholders to win new work. • Oversee execution of transportation projects to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. • Drive business growth by expanding Parsons’ presence and identifying new opportunities with MassDOT, MBTA, and other agencies. • Build and maintain strong relationships across business lines, clients, and stakeholders for seamless project delivery. • Mentor and develop a high‑performing team of engineers and project managers, fostering innovation and collaboration. • Manage P&L responsibilities, meeting or exceeding sales, operating profit, margin, and DSO targets. • Balance business development and project management duties, actively participating in proposals and client presentations. • Champion creative solutions to complex infrastructure challenges, reinforcing Parsons as a trusted regional partner. • Leverage a professional network to attract top talent and support market development initiatives.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a four‑year degree in civil engineering or a related field, possess a PE license in Massachusetts, and bring more than 20 years of experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects, especially with MassDOT. Strong leadership, mentorship, and client‑relationship skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include a proven record of meeting operational business goals, strategic market development experience, P&L ownership, and a professional network that can attract top talent.
