About the Role

The role includes performing visual and dimensional inspections, maintaining documentation in accordance with ANSI Y14‑5, and assisting fellow operators with proper procedures. Additional duties involve housekeeping, sub‑assembly work, and coordinating machine setup details such as balancing, dressing, and gear ratio establishment. • Set up and operate gear tooth and spline generating machines to meet precision tolerances. • Perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain ANSI Y14-5 documentation. • Assist fellow operators, handle housekeeping, and execute sub‑assembly tasks as directed. • Operate CNC and manual hobbers, shapers, vertical broaching machines, and mills. • Utilize gaging devices and gear checkers to verify dimensions and plot form data. • Inspect and maintain tool cutters, recommend geometry changes, and remove burrs from finished parts. • Maintain lot control, traceability records, and NCR documentation per QCP standards. • Conduct minor machine maintenance and follow SPC data analysis requirements.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma or GED, reside within 50 miles of the plant, and be eligible under ITAR regulations as a U.S. person. They must become a certified operator within 40 days, pass an ATC vision test, and bring at least five years of milling or gear‑generating experience, including three years with CNC machinery. • Meet ITAR eligibility, possess a high school diploma/GED, reside within 50 mi of the site, and obtain certified operator status within 40 days. • Provide at least 5 years machining experience, including 3 years CNC operation.
