About the Role

The Leasing Consultant will serve prospective residents, evaluate their eligibility, and showcase vacant and model units. They will also handle rental quoting, follow‑up communications, and collection of application fees and deposits, ensuring a smooth leasing process from inquiry to move‑in. The role includes managing online leads, maintaining an active social‑media presence, and employing marketing techniques such as outreach, cold calling, and community partnerships to attract new tenants. Accurate record‑keeping, compliance with affordable‑housing and HUD regulations, and proficient use of property‑management software are essential to the position. • Meet prospective residents, assess eligibility, and show vacant or model suites • Quote rental rates and promotions; follow up with calls and literature • Collect application fees, security deposits, and rental payments • Manage internet leads and maintain social‑media engagement • Screen applicants and prepare corresponding communications • Prepare leases and addendums; maintain lease records and files • Update waiting lists and reports per affordable‑housing and HUD regulations • Utilize on‑site PC‑based property management software for leasing data • Inspect apartments for readiness; distribute keys, move‑in packages, and safety videos • Execute marketing outreach, cold calling, and community partnership initiatives • Monitor competitor rental rates and promotional strategies • Mentor newly hired leasing consultants

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree in Customer Service or Hospitality preferred. One to two years of leasing or sales experience is required, along with knowledge of fair housing laws, Microsoft Office, and strong customer‑service skills; a valid driver’s license and the ability to work weekends are also needed. • High school diploma/GED; Associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred • 1–2 years leasing or sales experience (required); multisite experience preferred • Valid driver’s license (property‑dependent) and ability to work weekends • Knowledge of fair housing laws, affordable‑housing programs, Microsoft Office, and customer service • Preferred proficiency with Yardi/CRM systems
