About the Role

In this position you will acknowledge all purchase orders, obtain proper insurance certificates, ensure terms and conditions are presented to the customer, and send order acknowledgements to customers or distributors. You will communicate with Contracts if legal review is required, reconcile all purchase orders and BidMan orders to align with the scope and quoted dollars, and open and maintain orders in the system, tracking and reconciling associated costs for projects against the quoted scope. You will act as the buyer for projects, obtaining quotes and purchasing project materials and test equipment through Oracle Purchasing or Vista interunit orders. You will confirm labor and material costs, invoice orders via Oracle Project Costing Schedule, and organize field service personnel for customer jobs within the district to optimize cost and training opportunities. When necessary, you will serve as a Negative Applications (Neg Apps) provider, delivering quick quotes for emergency work or field repairs. Additional duties include accounting and financial backlog management, assisting the Business Operations Manager with risk review and forecasting analysis, providing world‑class customer support, and handling IT support, office management, shipping, and receiving. • Acknowledge purchase orders and obtain insurance certificates. • Communicate with Contracts for legal review when needed. • Reconcile purchase orders to align with scope and quoted dollars. • Open, track, and reconcile orders in the system against project scope. • Act as buyer to obtain quotes and purchase project materials via Oracle Purchasing/Vista. • Confirm labor and material costs, invoice orders, and schedule field service personnel. • Provide quick quotes for emergency work and field repairs as needed. • Manage accounting tasks, backlog, and assist with risk review and forecasting analysis. • Deliver world‑class customer support and maintain internal/external relationships. • Provide IT support, office management, shipping, and receiving functions.

What You Bring

The role requires at minimum an associate’s degree from an accredited institution or comparable military experience, and five or more years of cost accounting or strong financial experience, including invoicing, AP/AR, purchase orders, and material billing. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, or Engineering is preferred, along with knowledge of power distribution, control products, field service practices, employee relations, and quality programs. Candidates must reside within a 60‑mile radius of Nashville, TN; active‑duty military applicants are exempt from this requirement. No relocation assistance is provided. • Minimum associate’s degree; 5+ years cost accounting/financial experience. • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management or Engineering. • Knowledge of power distribution, control products, and field service practices. • Candidates must reside within 60 mi of Nashville, TN; active‑duty military exempt.
