Job Highlights
About the Role
The Scheduler (P6) role is based in Overland Park, KS, with up to 25% domestic travel, and focuses on utility transmission and substation projects such as high‑voltage T‑Line, substations, and renewable interconnections. This position partners with Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams to develop and maintain resource‑loaded Primavera schedules across EPC, Design‑Build, and CMAR delivery models, covering planning through construction and commissioning. In this role you will create and sustain linear and critical‑path schedules, integrate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, and produce earned‑value metrics, schedule KPIs, and cash‑flow reports for executive reporting. You will also conduct critical‑path analysis, assess risks, support look‑ahead planning, and ensure all schedule documentation complies with contract and company standards. • Develop and maintain LSM and CPM schedules for utility transmission, substation, and renewable projects. • Build and update resource‑ and cost‑loaded Primavera P6 schedules aligned with baselines and execution strategies. • Integrate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. • Link WBS to FBS for accurate forecasting, cash flow, and financial alignment. • Produce earned value metrics, schedule KPIs, and cash‑flow reports for project controls and executive reporting. • Conduct critical path analysis, what‑if scenarios, productivity tracking, and time‑impact assessments. • Identify schedule risks, evaluate sequencing, and recommend mitigation strategies. • Support look‑ahead planning, short‑interval schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintain compliant schedule documentation per contract and company standards.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates bring over four years of scheduling experience on utility transmission lines and substations, advanced Primavera P6 skills, and familiarity with linear scheduling and tools like TILOS or Deltek Acumen Fuse. Strong communication, collaboration across multiple departments, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment are essential, with a high school diploma required and a bachelor’s degree preferred. • 4+ years of scheduling experience supporting utility transmission lines (T‑Line) and substations. • Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including cost‑ and resource‑loaded schedule development. • Experience with Linear Scheduling, large‑scale sitework, and long‑lead equipment schedules for utility projects. • Familiarity with TILOS, Deltek Acumen Fuse/Risk, or similar schedule analysis tools. • Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. • Strong communication and influencing skills, coordinating across multiple departments. • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments. • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
