About the Role
• Support and manage cost control for large‑scale, multi‑phase data centre construction projects. • Develop and maintain cost plans, estimates, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts aligned with scope and schedule. • Monitor cost performance, track actuals vs. forecasts, report variances and maintain historical benchmarking data. • Review and validate change orders and payment applications for documentation, compliance and cost justification. • Assist procurement strategies, bid analysis, vendor pre‑qualification and contractor negotiations; prepare bid‑leveling documents. • Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts and executive dashboards; support monthly progress reports and client presentations. • Track contingencies, commitments and cost impacts across packages or phases; contribute to value engineering and design optimisation. • Support risk analysis and mitigation for cost‑related impacts; maintain commercial risk registers. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, build stakeholder relationships and participate in governance meetings. • Implement and improve cost‑management tools, templates and reporting standards; ensure compliance with internal financial systems and regulations. • Manage final accounting, post‑contract audits and lessons‑learned reviews; contribute to continuous improvement and training documentation. • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities.

What You Bring
The company is looking for an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to act as the day-to-day client interface on a large-scale, mission-critical data centre programme. The role is responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards, with a strong focus on governance, commercial rigour and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will provide leadership, work independently and collaboratively, and embody Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related discipline, with three to six years of cost-management or project-control experience in construction, preferably in data centres or high‑tech projects. Consultancy experience, RICS accreditation, proficiency in cost-management software, strong Excel and data-analysis skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential. Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder-management abilities are required to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑priority environment.
