About the Role

As the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing activities and staff in the management of the efficient maintenance of equipment at WM's newest Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in North Dumphries. • Lead maintenance technicians, handling scheduling, training, and performance management. • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. • Ensure equipment is repaired and returned to service safely and promptly. • Coordinate specialized repairs and upgrades with vendors and contractors. • Maintain CMMS data, parts inventory, and maintenance records. • Support startup and commissioning of new equipment. • Train and develop team members to foster accountability, safety, and high performance. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. • Plan, budget, staff, discipline, and implement all maintenance initiatives and programs. • Promote a safe work environment in line with corporate and OHSA standards. • Offer a stock purchase plan, company‑matched RRSP contributions, and other benefits.

What You Bring

Candidates may need a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for travel or access to federal property. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School/GED + 4 years). • Possess 7+ years of maintenance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role. • Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings; waste/recycling experience is a plus. • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, especially conveyors, screens and optical sorters. • Red Seal, Millwright, or similar trade certification preferred.
