Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanic

About the Role

• Work with metal stud framing systems, drywall, and related materials in commercial construction. • Install and finish Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT). • Assist fellow craft workers and maintain clean job sites. • Prepare sites, dig trenches, and set up braces for support. • Erect scaffolding, clear debris, and safely dispose of non‑hazardous waste. • Operate construction equipment and assist with its upkeep and maintenance. • Follow all safety protocols in line with RQ’s mission, vision, and values.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum five years of carpentry experience (rough and finish). • At least two years of field or trade work in commercial construction; government or military experience preferred. • Proven experience framing and installing steel metal frames. • Preferred experience with Acoustical Ceiling Tile installation. • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred. • Preferred certifications/training: Forklift/Man‑lift, trenching and shoring, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, scissor/boom lift, EM‑385 40‑hour, OSHA 10‑hour, OSHA 30‑hour.

All work is performed on the military base and paid at the Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage of $25‑$30 per hour.
