About the Role
The Fleet Turbine Engineer will be responsible for fleet‑wide system ownership of steam and combustion turbine systems, including management, planning, improvement, performance accountability, troubleshooting, and technical analysis. Duties include disassembling/reassembling turbine units, performing inspections, making repair recommendations, and conducting technical analysis during major outages. The role requires extensive technical expertise across related disciplines and acts as a staff advisor and consultant. Work is self‑directed, develops new techniques and procedures, and serves as the primary technical contact on contracts and projects, often coordinating with senior external personnel. Engineers may lead multiple moderate‑to‑large projects or portions of major projects, assign tasks to engineers, technicians, and support staff, and provide guidance and mentoring. Responsibilities also cover budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and work‑order management to support engineering activities. • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbine units; recommend repairs • Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting during major outages • Lead or co‑lead moderate‑to‑large engineering projects and coordinate project phases • Serve as primary technical contact on contracts, bids, and external stakeholder interactions • Develop new or improved engineering techniques, procedures, and standards • Produce technical documentation such as designs, calculations, reports, and standards • Provide field engineering oversight for testing, installation, commissioning, and inspections • Manage project budgets, estimates, forecasts, and work‑order processes • Mentor and guide less‑experienced engineers and support staff

What You Bring
Three engineering levels are offered: Staff Engineer ($79,800‑$103,666) with at least 2 years experience and EIT/FE preferred; Senior Engineer ($94,600‑$126,134) requiring 5 years experience and EIT/FE (or 7 years without); Principal Engineer ($109,300‑$152,766) requiring 9 years experience with PE (or 15 years without). All levels require a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, preferably mechanical. Preferred qualifications include technical field‑advisor experience on steam or gas turbines, prior power‑plant operations or maintenance, proficiency in vibration analysis and equipment balancing, and training on Siemens, GE, or other OEM equipment. • Own fleet‑wide steam and combustion turbine system performance, planning, and improvement • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program (mechanical preferred) • Staff Engineer: 2+ years relevant experience; EIT/FE strongly preferred • Senior Engineer: 5+ years experience with EIT/FE (or 7+ years without); PE may be required • Principal Engineer: 9+ years experience with PE (or 15+ years without); PE may be required • Technical field advisor experience on steam or gas turbines • Prior power‑plant operations, maintenance, or engineering roles • Proficiency in vibration analysis and equipment balancing • Training on Siemens, GE, or other OEM turbine equipment
