About the Role
With general direction, this role performs a variety of routine and non‑routine accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate billing and customer satisfaction. It focuses on working with customer accounts where issues arise that require further research to resolve the matter. The incumbent serves as the escalation point for disputed charges, communicating with internal and external parties and ensuring account data remains correct. They research and resolve non‑routine billing questions, determine appropriate adjustment codes, obtain required approvals, and enter adjustments into source billing systems. The role strives for timely and accurate resolution, prepares correspondence via telephone, email, or fax, and closes accounts for non‑payment, scheduling container removals and assessing charges when allowed. The employee recommends solutions or alternatives to improve customer satisfaction, gathers supplemental billing information to meet customer requirements, and provides assistance to Collection and Credit Specialists. Cultivating solid working relationships with customers, sales representatives, and local field personnel is essential, as is maintaining knowledge of company policies, departmental procedures, and local billing requirements. • Serve as escalation point for disputed charges, communicating with internal and external parties. • Research and resolve non‑routine billing questions, determine adjustment codes, obtain approvals, and enter adjustments. • Ensure timely resolution, prepare correspondence via phone, email, or fax, and close accounts for non‑payment with container removal scheduling. • Recommend solutions to improve customer satisfaction and gather supplemental billing information. • Assist Collection and Credit Specialists while maintaining relationships with customers, sales reps, and field personnel.

What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of eighteen months of related billing experience. Candidates should have directly related experience working with customers in a billing function within a service‑based industry. • Require high school diploma or GED and at least 18 months of billing experience in a service‑based industry.
