About the Role
The Assistant Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls systems technicians in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a strong safety focus. This role develops solutions to complex problems, manages outside contractors, and provides on‑call emergency support to ensure multi‑site production runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance, partnering with Environmental Health and Safety to meet safety standards, tracking operational KPIs, scheduling and completing work tickets, ensuring building cleanliness, and maintaining accurate inventory. The manager also conducts daily and weekly audits, implements predictive and condition‑based maintenance programs, nurtures client‑centric relationships, assists with budgeting and project planning, and provides performance feedback and disciplinary actions when needed. • Lead and train maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls technicians. • Model safety standards and maintain a safe working environment. • Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs. • Track and schedule completion of work tickets and monitor KPIs. • Ensure building cleanliness and accurate inventory tracking. • Perform daily and weekly audits of work orders and cleanliness. • Maintain client‑centric relationships with operational stakeholders. • Assist in budget development, project planning, and cost analysis. • Provide performance feedback, written appraisals, and disciplinary actions. • Travel as required to support network needs.
