About the Role
The Project Cost Analyst supports cost control and financial performance of large, multi‑year capital projects from early execution through closeout. The role works closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Engineering, and Construction teams to provide accurate cost visibility and proactive financial decision‑making. • Track, analyze, and control project costs for EPC energy and utility infrastructure projects. • Maintain and analyze budget vs. actuals, forecasts, and cost trends across multi-year projects. • Develop and update Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC). • Monitor cost deviations, trends, and risks, escalating issues early to leadership. • Support change management, including change orders, budget transfers, and cost impacts. • Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations Directors, and technical teams to align financial performance with execution plans. • Prepare clear cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders. • Support Project Controls Execution Plans and ensure adherence to company standards. • Utilize JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI for job cost tracking and reporting. • Serve as a trusted cost resource, contributing to continuous improvement in cost control practices.

What You Bring
• 2+ years experience in project cost control, job costing, or project controls within EPC, construction, utilities, or energy infrastructure. • Hands‑on experience with cost forecasting, budget control, change management, and cost trend/risk analysis. • Experience in a project‑based environment (not manufacturing or corporate accounting). • Advanced proficiency in Excel. • Experience with JDE and/or EcoSys; Procore experience preferred. • Ability to translate complex cost data into clear, actionable insights. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent practical experience. • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.
