About the Role

Key duties include diagnosing organizational issues, designing and executing people initiatives, and leading talent management programs such as succession planning and leadership development. The manager partners with Centers of Expertise to align HR strategies with business goals, oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and exit processes, and contributes to district leadership teams. Project leadership and change management are also central to the role. The position supervises People Advisors and other support staff, providing coaching, performance management, and development to the HR team. Direct supervision may involve one or more full‑time employees. • Diagnose organizational challenges and implement targeted people solutions. • Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives. • Coach and advise managers on employee relations and performance issues. • Partner with HR Centers of Expertise to execute talent and compliance strategies. • Manage full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation programs. • Oversee employee separation, conduct exit interviews, and analyze turnover data. • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the region. • Lead or contribute to HR projects and change management efforts. • Supervise People Advisors and provide team development support. • Utilize data analytics to identify HR insights and improve workforce efficiency.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in HR, industrial relations, psychology, or a related field (or a high school diploma with four years relevant experience) and possess at least five years of HR management experience. Preferred credentials include SPHR certification, strong analytical and diagnostic abilities, consultative communication style, and demonstrated talent management expertise. • Require 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably with union and M&A exposure. • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline; SPHR certification preferred. • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and consultative influencing skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision. • Travel 40–50% within NC, SC, and GA; field exposure to varied work environments.
