Assist senior technicians installing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Job Highlights
About the Role
Apprentices install HVAC and refrigeration equipment, work with various piping systems, use power and hand tools, maintain clean job sites, and assist senior technicians while escalating safety or quality concerns as needed. • Install HVAC components such as air handler drains, split‑system piping, overhead duct hangers, and ductwork. • Install refrigeration components including display case drains, walk‑in box drains, and overhead hangers. • Perform all work safely using power tools, hand tools, machinery, PPE, and follow source, customer and contract policies. • Escalate safety or quality issues promptly to senior technicians or project managers. • Maintain clean, professional job sites and properly manage spare and waste materials. • Assist senior technicians and perform additional duties as assigned. • Work with various piping types, including PVC, copper (brazing) and copper line sets. • Follow company policies, state and federal regulations, and maintain a good driving record.

What You Bring
The HVAC Apprentice supports installation teams by completing tasks safely, accurately and professionally, following customer specifications, building codes and proper piping practices. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably 1 + year of related experience, basic tool proficiency, ability to work in varied conditions, solid math and communication skills, a good driving record and the ability to follow company policies and safety regulations. • Operate scissor lifts or forklifts (preferred). • Read and interpret plans, perform basic calculations, and communicate clearly.
