About the Role
Be the key to our Service success! Step up as our next Assistant Maintenance Manager! We are seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager with a "Whatever It Takes" approach to join our team. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of this community meet both company standards and applicable laws. As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will manage, develop, and mentor the maintenance team in diagnosing problems and making repairs. You will provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliance repair. You will be accountable for establishing a 24‑hour on‑call schedule and must be personally available for snow, ice, or other on‑site emergencies. You will also organize inventory of all maintenance materials, establish preventive maintenance, make‑ready, and work order schedules, regularly inspect community buildings including vacant units, and complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager. • Manage, develop, and mentor the maintenance team in problem diagnosis and repairs. • Provide expert troubleshooting for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior, and appliance systems. • Establish and maintain a 24‑hour on‑call schedule, personally available for emergencies. • Organize and control inventory of maintenance materials. • Create preventive maintenance, make‑ready, and work order schedules. • Conduct regular inspections of community buildings and vacant units. • Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.

What You Bring
What we will expect from you: an active and valid driver’s license with a personal vehicle, residency within a 30‑minute commute of the properties, and preferably HVAC/EPA/CFC certification. • Hold a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; reside within 30 minutes of properties. • Preferred HVAC/EPA/CFC certification.
