About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager oversees the development of manufacturing methods, labor standards, and cost analysis systems to maximize facility utilization. They lead the implementation and sustainment of a 5S initiative, conduct time studies for new projects, and identify efficiency improvements on existing products. The role also involves consulting with vendors on purchases, specifications, and capabilities, and communicating with Product Engineering to develop production standards. They supervise technical design reviews to ensure conformity to best practices and suitability for manufacturing processes, establish sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly, and collaborate with Product Engineering and R&D on design‑for‑manufacturability projects. The manager implements standardized work through SOPs and Statistical Process Control for new and existing equipment, and manages documentation for maintenance procedures and schedules. What You Bring

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio, as well as familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, is required. The position demands an ABET‑accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience, with 5‑7 years of manufacturing engineering experience; a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred, and advanced degrees are a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, decision‑making, and analytical problem‑solving skills, along with excellent organization and time‑management abilities, are essential. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lb, sit or stand for most of the workday, and handle periodic visits to the manufacturing facility in varying temperature, dust, and chemical fume conditions.
