About the Role

The Senior Research Consultant (also referred to as Associate Research Consultant) manages a portfolio of commercial‑real‑estate contacts and ensures that property, listing, and transaction data in CoStar’s database are current, accurate, and complete. The role involves daily outreach—interviewing brokers, owners, developers, and other professionals—to capture real‑time market information, verify details from multiple sources, and track construction projects from proposal to completion. Consultants also help clients leverage CoStar’s marketing platforms and provide world‑class customer service so clients can make informed decisions. • Grow and maintain an accurate commercial‑real‑estate inventory database. • Make 50+ daily inbound and outbound calls to brokers, developers, investors, and other professionals to collect real‑time property and transaction data. • Research new listings, recent sales and leases, ownership, and construction activity in assigned markets. • Build and sustain mutually beneficial client relationships. • Assist clients in positioning and marketing their properties on the CoStar platform. • Analyze market trends and collaborate with regional teams to qualify data that tells a market story.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit university or college. • Demonstrated commitment to previous employers. • Minimum 8 months experience in a customer‑service role. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel 365. • Flexibility to work shifts across ET, CT, MT, and PT time zones. • Strong academic performance in college. • Natural curiosity, persistence, and ability to conduct thorough investigative research. • Proven track record of meeting metrics or key performance indicators. • Experience communicating with internal partners and external clients by phone. • Goal‑oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Skill in developing client relationships through effective interviews, leading to database updates. • Customer‑focused mindset with a drive to partner with clients. • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently as an individual contributor. • Knowledge of or experience in the commercial‑real‑estate industry. • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, filtering, and basic formulas. • Accurate data capture and entry capabilities. • Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
