About the Role

The role provides technical assistance for the design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects, ensuring documentation meets industry standards for safety and functionality. • Conduct field inspections of bridges throughout the Southeast to identify deterioration and structural damage. • Generate accurate bridge inspection reports using electronic systems, drawings, and field logs. • Plan and prepare inspection trips, maintain field equipment and supplies. • Perform calculations and provide entry‑level assistance on bridge repair designs, load ratings, and construction inspections. • Adhere to safety guidelines, site‑specific procedures, and WSP’s Code of Conduct. • Work within a flexible, agile workplace model while contributing to projects in buildings, transportation, energy, water, and environmental markets.

What You Bring

Candidates must have the required education, possess strong attention to detail and communication skills, be physically capable of field work, and be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred applicants may have an associate’s degree or technical training, internship or leadership experience, plan‑reading ability, drafting software knowledge, and interest in drone operation or advanced rope‑access techniques. • Meet required qualifications: high school diploma, detail‑oriented, strong interpersonal and communication skills, Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency, ability to climb ladders up to 40 ft, use hand and power tools, and travel/overnight work as needed. • Preferred qualifications: associate’s degree or technical coursework, prior internship or leadership experience, ability to read plans/specifications, experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation, interest in UAS drone operation (FAA Part 107), and comfort working at heights above 40 ft with rope access (SPRAT certification).
