About the Role
• Lead end‑to‑end cost management for hyperscale data‑center programs, aligning scope, budget and schedule. • Develop detailed cost plans, estimates and forecasts using industry benchmarks and technical documentation. • Manage change control, review and negotiate change orders, and ensure robust commercial governance. • Oversee contractor and subcontractor pricing reviews, scope validation and procurement strategy development. • Coordinate cost forecasts with project schedules and provide monthly cost reports, executive summaries and financial updates. • Conduct cost risk analysis, scenario planning and monitor market trends for escalation, labor availability and material pricing. • Drive cost optimisation and value engineering to reduce lifecycle costs. • Set and track performance KPIs, prepare senior‑leadership presentations and maintain Business Management Systems. • Mentor junior staff, conduct performance reviews and foster a high‑performance, collaborative culture. • Support business development by building market understanding, identifying pipeline opportunities and participating in proposals.

What You Bring
The Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor will provide expert cost management on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. This client‑facing leadership role requires strategic direction, stakeholder influence and the ability to embed Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision throughout the project lifecycle. • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field; graduate degree preferred. • 8‑10+ years of cost management or project controls experience on large‑scale, mission‑critical construction projects. • Proven client‑facing delivery experience in construction consultancy. • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, resilience requirements and campus‑scale infrastructure. • Expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, Earned Value Management and procurement strategies. • Proficiency with CostX, Oracle, Excel, Primavera and other cost‑management tools. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification highly desirable. • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
