About the Role

The Houston Distribution Center Manager oversees all operational, inventory, and logistics activities for the Houston DC. This role ensures safe and compliant site operations, effective contractor oversight, optimized inventory management, and execution of end‑to‑end logistics processes. With a focus on continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration, the Manager drives operational performance, cost efficiency, and service excellence. • Manage daily operations of the Houston DC, overseeing contractors performing receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling activities on site. • Oversee all inventory responsibilities on site, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective controls aligned with Baker Hughes standards. • Lead end‑to‑end logistics solutions to deliver on‑time pickup and delivery of goods while managing logistics spend to meet operational plans and budget commitments. • Redesign and improve processes in response to changing business needs, resource requirements, or operational conditions, considering broader functional and enterprise impacts. • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams, influencing peers and stakeholders to achieve shared logistics and operational objectives. • Manage a service‑delivery‑oriented unit that provides logistics and distribution services to internal functions and business units. • Handle work requiring interpretation and judgment, including resolving exceptions, establishing new operating approaches, and applying analytical thinking to unique, non‑standard situations. • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously across operational and logistics priorities.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of logistics experience) and at least 3 additional years of logistics experience. • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence across teams. • Exhibit proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead small teams and contractors. • Demonstrate effective problem‑identification and problem‑solving abilities. • Possess strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
