About the Role
In the Production Associate • Material Handler • Bus Kitting/Puller role you will support our assembly teams and the shipping of parts to other facilities by kitting and pulling steel or copper fabricated parts and other purchases. You will locate or reorder parts needed for specific jobs and determine the root cause for missing parts. You will effectively communicate and work with members of a team to complete your job function and meet safety, quality and productivity goals. • Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties. • Work from travel documents, blueprints and oral or written instructions to pull copper, steel or purchased parts for assembly. • Pull parts from various warehouse locations, deliver them to assembly teams, and reorder parts as needed. • Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate concerns appropriately. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root cause analysis for quality or production issues. • Ensure quality by measuring finished parts, conducting visual inspections, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. • Cross‑train and stand in for other employees or job functions when necessary.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and reside within 50 miles of the Sumter facility. No relocation assistance is provided. Preferred experience includes operating forklifts or cranes, knowledge of steel and copper fabrication processes, purchasing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and reading blueprints or manufacturing diagrams. Proficiency with measuring tools, Microsoft Office, and strong verbal and written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving skills are also required.
