About the Role

The Heavy Equipment Technician performs repairs and maintenance on heavy and light equipment, including preventative inspections, hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emission systems. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and fixing mechanical problems on heavy equipment, maintaining electrical, diesel, and gasoline vehicles such as compactors, excavators, and wheel loaders, and servicing engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines, hydraulics, brakes, electrical, suspension, wheels, tires, and undercarriages. The technician reads equipment condition reports, communicates with supervisors or operators, documents work, completes consumables reports, analyzes oil samples and onboard data, follows all safety policies, and performs engine overhauls.

What You Bring

Qualifications require advanced knowledge of air brakes, tires, hydraulics, electrical systems, drivetrain, suspension, steering, ASE certification, at least one year of heavy‑equipment technician experience, a mechanical trade school certificate or degree, electrical diagnostics certification, familiarity with Tier 4 emission systems, and welding or fabrication skills.
