What You Bring

The Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) will learn to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer and control systems in a complex fulfillment/distribution center through a comprehensive classroom, laboratory and on‑the‑job learning program. The apprentice must follow all health and safety policies and, upon successful completion, will be promoted to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT). Participants must attend a 12‑week training at one of four colleges—Vincennes University, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Ogeechee Technical College, or Dallas College Eastfield Campus—with travel‑related expenses covered. Basic qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum age of 18, a qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test, enrollment in the 12‑week college program, completion of one year of on‑the‑job learning, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, and the ability to work flexible schedules, shifts and locations. Preferred qualifications include experience in an electrical, mechanical or controls field. Physical demands involve reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders or an aerial lift, and frequently lifting up to 50 lb, as well as wearing required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, face shields and composite toe shoes while working in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. • Communicate effectively within team settings during school and on‑the‑job learning. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; be at least 18 years old. • Achieve the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test. • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Preferred: prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or controls field. • Physical ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb, and wear required PPE.
