About the Role
The Document Control Manager will lead document management and records governance across major programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, security, and regulatory compliance. This role provides centralized oversight of the document lifecycle, supports audit‑ready recordkeeping, and coordinates information flow among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders. In this position, the manager will direct document control activities, develop and enforce policies and naming conventions, and oversee the full lifecycle of program documentation from receipt to archival. Responsibilities also include optimizing administrative workloads, leading a document control team, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and the public. • Oversee all document control and records management activities, ensuring compliance with standards and contracts. • Develop, implement, and enforce document control policies, procedures, naming conventions, and governance workflows. • Manage the full document lifecycle—including receipt, routing, review, approval, distribution, retrieval, archival, and retention. • Strategically assign and monitor document control tasks, resolving bottlenecks to maintain operational excellence. • Coordinate and balance administrative workloads to maximize productivity and support program schedules. • Lead and mentor document control staff, fostering accountability and high‑performance practices. • Serve as the primary liaison for document management with clients, contractors, vendors, and the public. • Ensure traceability, version control, and configuration integrity to support audits, claims prevention, and contract compliance. • Use metrics and reporting tools to track submission compliance, overdue reviews, cycle times, and drive continuous improvement. • Apply strategic planning and sound judgment to align information governance with organizational goals.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of relevant experience, including two years in a leadership capacity. Proficiency with enterprise document platforms such as SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Unifier is required, and experience on large, complex programs is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree plus ten years of related experience, including at least two years of leadership. • Experience with enterprise document platforms such as SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, Unifier, or similar. • Preferred: background supporting document management on large programs or complex project environments. • Preferred: experience with program and project role administration, user access management, and controlled workflows.
