What You Bring
Downer is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, or Fitters to join our team in Eastern Creek, NSW. This hybrid opportunity offers the best of both worlds: hands‑on workshop maintenance and varied field service work. One day you’ll be in the workshop, the next you’ll be on‑site diagnosing faults and keeping critical projects moving. • Hands‑on work with a modern, well‑maintained fleet of trucks and plant • Strong safety‑first culture with Zero Harm as a core value • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns in the field • Hold a trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting (essential) • Possess strong hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic skills • Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment • Auto‑electrical experience (highly regarded) • Valid licences to support the role (HR and forklift desirable) • Ability to travel as required and work alternating shifts • Strong team player with capability to operate independently • Proactive approach and commitment to safety
