About the Role
The Superintendent I helps plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects, overseeing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring complete documentation, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable completion. All activities support JE Dunn’s strategy, vision and values. • Lead and reinforce the company’s safety culture, investigate incidents and retrain staff. • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and overall job workflow for small or major project portions. • Develop work plans, coordinate site control, and lead daily stand‑up and weekly trade meetings. • Create, adjust, and implement project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager. • Track project budget and costs using the project management system and cost reports. • Communicate key information to owners, design teams, authorities, subcontractors and internal departments. • Maintain project documentation, including drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks. • Approve unit cost data, complete daily and weekly reports, and monitor self‑perform work progress. • Oversee material and equipment procurement, supporting MOC and Dunn Logistics Service Center processes. • Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for self‑perform operations. • Manage timecard approvals, ensuring accurate hours and proper cost coding. • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC standards and external resources. • Supervise pre‑punch activities and coordinate project close‑out with owners and architects. • Participate in project pre‑planning, staffing, schedule and cost adjustments, and change negotiations. • Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion in line with JE Dunn policies. • Build collaborative relationships across internal and external teams.

What You Bring
The Superintendent I makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults a supervisor on other decisions. This role follows a career path to Superintendent II. The position may require lifting up to 50 lb, travel, exposure to extreme conditions, and non‑traditional hours.
