About the Role
The Environmental Services (ES) Field Technician I works under close supervision, following detailed work instructions and applying basic judgment to resolve routine issues. The role involves troubleshooting basic problems, identifying deviations from standard practices, and performing operational functions related to emergency response, hazardous and non‑hazardous spill clean‑up, and hazmat decontamination. Key duties include tank cleaning, oil spill remediation, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high‑pressure washing, and other remedial activities in confined spaces such as manholes. The technician also responds to customer spills and emergencies during both normal business hours and after‑hours, maintains equipment and work sites, and operates a range of tools including pumps, generators, compressors, light towers, pallet‑jacks, and skid steers.

What You Bring
The position requires strict adherence to safety policies and regulations, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks, stay focused, and manage multiple responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Ideal candidates can read and comprehend operational, technical, safety and quality documents, possess knowledge of chemicals and safety data sheets, and are comfortable providing input on work practices. They demonstrate a positive attitude, mental resilience, and a commitment to company safety standards, and are proficient with tablet/PC use and hand tools. Applicants should have 0‑2 years of relevant experience, experience with light and heavy equipment, and the ability to respond to hazardous and non‑hazardous emergencies. Successful hires must be able to complete 40‑hour HAZWOPER training, move objects up to 50 lb, and may need a confined‑space entry certificate and a valid driver’s license.
