About the Role

This full‑time, non‑per‑diem role provides maintenance services for an industrial plant, focusing on carpentry tasks such as constructing, repairing, and installing wood structures and fixtures. The incumbent works from blueprints and schematics to ensure equipment and facilities remain in good working order. • Construct, erect, install, and repair wood structures and fixtures using hand and power tools • Review blueprints, sketches, or plans to determine material requirements • Mark measurements on material and cut using appropriate tools • Verify the accuracy of constructed structures • Erect framework for structures and sub‑flooring • Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and engineering specifications • Interpret technical manuals to determine work procedures

What You Bring

The position reports to a supervisor and has no direct reports. Work involves extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 lb, and occasional heights, requiring the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to Zachry’s safety policies. Candidates must hold a NCCER Industrial Carpenter certification, a valid driver’s license, and possess reliable transportation. Zachry is committed to a safe, drug‑free, and equal‑opportunity workplace. • Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience • Carpentry experience in a maintenance environment • Strong reading comprehension • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player • Effective communication with co‑workers and supervisors • Proficiency with industrial hand and power tools • Possession of journeyman carpenter tools • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience • Reliable transportation and flexible availability • Former Zachry employee (preferred) • Formal education or certification in construction or trade (e.g., NCCER Carpenter Certification) • Physical demands include extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, and working at heights while wearing required PPE • NCCER PLUS certification required • Valid driver’s license required • NCCER – Industrial Carpenter certification required
