About the Role
• Assemble, fit, and mount sub‑assemblies, components, and standard/fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers and related units. • Perform assembly for test preparation and final inspection; wire units, relay panels, panel boards, space heaters, and control panels. • Bend and install power cables and leads; fabricate pre‑cable units, panel and MTB harnesses, and power leads. • Use established power‑checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of assembled units. • Stage parts for customer orders. • Follow oral or written instructions, prints, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and wiring diagrams. • Utilize manufacturing information sheets to determine necessary parts, write requisitions, and obtain materials from stock areas. • Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures, component types, mounting locations, and required clearances. • Assemble and fit parts to form sub‑assemblies or complete assemblies. • Assemble and wire control devices, cutting wires to length. • Make adjustments to ensure correct alignment and clearances. • Install units, panels, meters, keys, pull boxes, reactors, relays, fuses, MTB assemblies, panel boards, space heaters, transformers, etc., by mounting/bolting them in place. • Assemble and install bus work such as lug adapters, crossover bus, and splices. • Make pre‑bent cable units, MTB and control panel harnesses using pre‑cable boards and hand‑crimp lugs as needed. • Modify standard assemblies or doors as received, altering hole cutouts using hand or power tools. • Make wiring changes as required. • Operate floor‑mounted overhead and jib cranes to move units, harnesses, device panels, and related components. • Determine quality of work, report problems to supervisors or Quality Control, and maintain piece counts and associated records. • Mark wires, devices, or terminals; identify harnesses or panels with job and unit numbers; apply component ID labels such as Brady or Dymo. • Wear all required safety equipment and observe hygiene requirements. • Utilize various hand tools to assemble and wire products in a lean environment. • Maintain a clean work area and keep health and safety equipment in good working order.

Applicants must undergo a background check after a conditional offer; if a conviction directly related to the job is found, the candidate will have an opportunity to explain or contest the findings. • High school diploma or GED required. • No immigration sponsorship or support will be provided; candidates must not require CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, or related visas. • Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Fayetteville, NC (military members exempt); no relocation benefit offered. • Minimum of 3 months prior manufacturing experience preferred. • Experience reading schematic drawings or blueprints preferred. • Work effectively within teams and collaborate with individuals and groups. • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs. • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams and schematics. • Self‑driven and capable of producing results with minimal direction. • Able to stand, walk, sit, reach above shoulder level, grip, and use hands. • Able to frequently lift/carry up to 35 lb and push/pull up to 35 lb. • Possess adequate far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination.
