About the Role

In this role you will perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, load system‑level controller software, and carry out basic commissioning and diagnostics on controllers and end devices such as sensors and actuators. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, respond to warranty calls, calibrate systems with electronic test equipment, and keep management and the JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. You will also handle administrative duties including timesheets, expense reports, on‑site documentation, and as‑built records, while communicating with the contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Strict adherence to safety standards and participation in required safety training are essential. • Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools and load controller software. • Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues; respond to warranty calls. • Conduct system diagnostics, calibrate equipment, and complete commissioning documentation. • Maintain communication with management, contractors, and customers regarding job progress. • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation. • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate demonstrates technical aptitude, can use hand and power tools, possesses basic computer skills, and pays close attention to detail. Effective communication and listening skills are required, and depending on location, low‑voltage device installation may need special licensing. Preferred qualifications include at least two years of experience installing electronic or mechanical systems and solid knowledge of HVAC systems. • Demonstrate technical aptitude, use hand/power tools, and possess basic computer skills. • Possess at least two years’ experience installing electronic/mechanical systems and knowledge of HVAC.
