About the Role
Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, hallways, and stairs, shampooing rugs, and washing walls and glass. Duties may include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. • Monitor building security and safety, lock doors after hours, and check appliance use to prevent hazards. • Service, clean, and supply restrooms. • Gather and empty trash. • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. • Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage to floors and fixtures. • Mix water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. • Notify managers of major repairs or additions to building operating systems. • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal protective equipment. • Plan work and select proper tools. • Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.

What You Bring
May require a high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or a related area. Possesses knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on instructions and pre‑established guidelines. Works under immediate supervision, reports to a supervisor or manager, and does not typically require independent judgment. Physical requirements include strength for standing (50 %), walking (30 %), and sitting (20 %); lifting, carrying and moving loads up to 50 lb and exerting forces up to 70 ft‑lb. The role may involve occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and frequent reaching, handling, and fingering. • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
