About the Role

The Assistant Maintenance Manager role in Houston, TX, leads a team of maintenance mechanics, robotics and controls technicians, ensuring safety, preventive maintenance, and customer‑focused operations across multiple sites. The role involves partnership with EHS, meeting operational KPIs, managing work tickets, overseeing inventory, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and maintaining client relationships. • Lead, train, and support a team of maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls technicians. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) on site. • Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs. • Manage work ticket scheduling, completion tracking, and inventory accuracy. • Perform daily and weekly audits of cleanliness, work orders, and equipment. • Meet operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including labor tracking and building cleanliness. • Serve as primary client contact during shifts and maintain client‑centric relationships. • Participate in budget development, cost analysis, and vendor management. • Provide performance feedback, conduct appraisals, and handle disciplinary actions. • Travel as needed to support network sites and respond to emergencies on‑call.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include budget and vendor management, CMMS experience, project management, and ability to read blueprints and schematics. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 49 lb, and working in varied conditions. • High school diploma or equivalent with prior leadership experience. • Experience maintaining industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls. • Flexibility to work varied shifts and on‑call schedules. • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics (preferred). • Knowledge of CMMS platforms and project management (preferred). • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
