About the Role
• Inspects work in progress and completed work periodically to ensure conformance to specifications. • Confirms earned value of work and accuracy of Forecasted Percent Completions. • Conducts pre-job and planning meetings to ensure all project team members understand contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedules or any unusual requirements of the project. • Performs all required safety observations and eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity. • Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, required manpower, etc.). Advises senior level supervision and project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assists in circumventing/resolving such problems as required. • Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules utilizing knowledge of equipment/tools capacities and assigned personnel. • Serves as a leader on projects and provides technical expertise to partners in order to adhere to all construction processes designed to complete projects safely and with a high standard of quality. • Maintains liaison with other departments, (i.e., Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering, etc.) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule. • Manages, coaches, and develops direct reports. Conducts timely, complete, and meaningful performance management conversations.

What You Bring
• Leadership skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Building Science, Construction Management or related field is preferred • EPA license is a plus • Understanding of all facets of the construction process • Understands and practices Quality/LEAN principles (pull planning, six-week look ahead, value mapping, constraint logs, etc.). • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards • Excellent time and project management skills • Competent in conflict and crisis management • Ability to budget projects by estimating worker hour requirements to meet the needs of the construction schedule and project budget. Monitors schedules to ensure they match project schedules. Provides material takeoff, estimate and pricing for changes to work scope. • Ability to plan and see the “big picture” • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods • Minimum of 5-7 years of HVAC experience • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, coordination and/or BIM drawings, submittals, specifications, details, and job orders
