About the Role
The role involves planning, laying out, and performing all types of carpentry work in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards, and may include work in other trades as appropriate to training and skills as directed by supervision. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, material storage, and idle time. • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance, explain deficiencies, and take corrective action. • Identify and implement improvements, share knowledge, and mentor others. • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively at all times. • Provide feedback to ensure necessary materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards; effectively use trade tools and equipment. • Stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally. • Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis for communication. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least two years of journeyman carpenter experience, including bridge and wall construction; ADOT experience is a plus. Pre‑employment drug testing and overtime availability are required. The position pays $34.50 per hour plus cash fringe benefits, with an anticipated project length of about two years. • Possess required experience levels (1–4 years) in industrial/commercial construction and deep carpentry knowledge. • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment (steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest). • Reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently. • Navigate confined spaces and uneven areas.
