About the Role
During the internship you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You will receive guidance, supervision and mentorship from experienced engineers, with the goal of your success. The majority of interns convert to full-time employees. In this role you will support real client projects by creating engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD, perform basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software, participate in field assignments such as inspections of roadways, bridges and highways, and contribute to various project phases by reviewing drawings, proofreading reports and providing related engineering support.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate civil engineering program or a related field, and has demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in roadway, bridge, and highway engineering. Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing is required, along with strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, and a self-motivated, team-player attitude. Preferred qualifications include working proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation, and experience using engineering analysis and design tools like Civil 3D and HEC‑RAS.
