About the Role
The Assembler is responsible for wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. The role includes performing assembly or wiring for test preparation and final inspection, and using established power‑checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical and mechanical integrity. All assignments must meet defined quantity and quality standards. Work is performed from oral or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information. Materials are handled according to established procedures, and routine maintenance on plant equipment is performed as required. Quality standards are upheld by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes, while progress is monitored and any problems or part shortages are communicated. • Assemble, wire, and mount subassemblies and components for electrical control equipment. • Perform test preparation and final inspection wiring tasks. • Verify electrical/mechanical integrity using power‑checking procedures and equipment. • Interpret oral or written instructions, drawings, and manufacturing information to complete assignments. • Handle materials according to established procedures and report part shortages. • Conduct routine maintenance on plant equipment in the assigned area. • Inspect and test finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and codes. • Prepare finished products for shipment, coordinate with carriers, and load materials. • Maintain 5S housekeeping, safety standards, and keep work areas clean and orderly.

What You Bring
Finished products are prepared for shipment, carriers are contacted, and materials are loaded onto carrier vehicles. Good housekeeping and safety procedures are observed, with equipment, tools, and work areas kept clean and orderly through 5S practices. The role requires lifting up to 35 lb, with reasonable accommodation as needed. Candidates need a minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing, production, construction, industrial work, or the military, or a degree in a technical discipline. Required certifications and experience include forklift driver certification, familiarity with supply‑chain systems such as AS400 or MAPICS, and background in electrical equipment manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or installation. Proficiency with a variety of tools—including manual, electric, pneumatic tools, drill presses, press brakes, fork trucks, jib cranes, and measuring and testing equipment—is also expected. • Lift up to 35 lb with reasonable accommodation as needed. • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, construction, industrial work, or military service, or a technical degree. • Forklift driver certification required. • Experience with supply‑chain systems such as AS400 or MAPICS. • Background in electrical equipment assembly (panelboards/switchboards preferred) or maintenance/installation. • Proficiency with manual, electric, pneumatic tools, drill presses, press brakes, fork trucks, jib cranes, and measuring/testing equipment.
